Feeling stuck? Burnt out? Overwhelmed by that inner critical voice? I can work with you to break down barriers to connection, set healthy boundaries, and cultivate your inner strength. I believe that most of our suffering stems from feeling disconnected–from our loved ones, from our communities, even from ourselves. Together we will work to create relationships that are reparative, restorative, and meaningful. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages struggling with difficult life transitions, challenging relationships, feelings of anxiety, and low self-esteem.
I am trained in Drama Therapy and Creative Arts Therapy and have worked extensively with adults, children, and families in both individual and group settings. I like to implement arts based interventions when appropriate. As a therapist, I approach clients from a strengths-based, holistic lens. I work from a social justice framework and am passionate about helping clients advocate for themselves and thrive in challenging situations and systems. I like to make space for laughter in the treatment room, even in moments of darkness, and believe that play is integral to growth no matter our age or background.
In creative arts therapy, the treatment room becomes a “playspace” to explore different roles that we play in our lives. Together we can work to uncover inner sources of strength and seek fruitful connections with others. We will discover roles and patterns that are no longer serving us and seek to let them go as we adapt to life’s ups and downs in an authentic, intentional way.
