Are you often feeling down, anxious, sad, hopeless, or just stressed? Do you find yourself struggling with how to manage your stressors? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes you can be in control of your life and manage any concern life throws your way. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief and loss, cultural and self-identity issues, life transitions, relationship obstacles, women’s issues, adjustment to chronic illness, and conflict resolution. By taking a supportive, strengths-based, and a collaborative approach to therapy, I create a safe, empathetic, therapeutic environment to foster hope and healing in your life. I believe people are their own life experts and I will assist you in making a renewed path in what you value. During therapy, we will work together to create an individualized plan with attainable goals to fit your needs.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I completed my clinical internships at a children’s hospital and a nursing home. Prior to earning my MSW, I graduated from the University of Louisville with a BA in psychology and a minor in Anthropology. I have a wide range of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient hospitalization and long term residential care.
Starting therapy for the first time or starting over with a new therapist can be daunting, or even, scary. I can provide you with a safe and welcoming environment to explore what you want out of life. Together, we will uncover what your goals are and work toward them at your own pace. If you feel ready to take this step, I am ready to help.
